This broth was amazing, it was the Akamaru... a pork base with miso and garlic. I know their noodles are made fresh but personally I like my ramen noodles just a bit thicker (best noodles I've ever had). anyway.. the broth was the clear winner, and the pork was pretty mean too!

***Big Apple BBQ

Went to the Big Apple BBQ at Madison Park on Saturday... It was bananananans... but pretty awesome! I was accompanied with the homies Mike (Sarpy), Mike (Little), and Kiji. We had a good plan of having 2 of us each wait in separate lines, but at the end of it we only got to about 4 different spots. The last line I waited in for about half an hour. Everything pretty much had their own uniqueness and flavors, I was saying though, someone needs to make the portable Imu!

***Kajitsu

I was fortunate enough to dine at Kajitsu with the people from AR and had a very interesting and amazing meal.

I was highly impressed with the freshness and execution of all of these dishes mainly since there were no meat dishes. The ambiance and staff definitely gave me a bit of nostalgia of being in Japan, making it feel as if you've escaped from the city for a second. They don't market themselves as vegan but I believe they are.
